    FAQs

Yes, you can use smart switches in a multi-site business setup. They offer essential features like VLANs, static routing, and port-based controls, making it easy to segment and manage traffic across locations. While they don't offer full remote control out of the box, they’re ideal for businesses with local IT or those using centralized systems. For remote management across multiple sites, consider our cloud-managed switches for added flexibility.

It depends on the number of available ports. Our smart switches come in 24 and 48-port models, with each port supporting one wired device. Some models also include additional SFP+ uplink ports for backbone connections. If you need more devices, you can stack or daisy-chain multiple switches. Keep in mind, connecting too many high-bandwidth devices on a lower-capacity switch may affect performance.

Choose PoE+ if your devices need up to 30W per port—ideal for most VoIP phones, standard IP cameras, and WiFi access points. Go with PoE++ if you're powering devices that require more than 30W, like pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras, LED lighting, or multi-radio access points. PoE++ delivers up to 60W per port, giving you more headroom for high-power deployments. If you're unsure or expect to scale, PoE++ also offers more flexibility.
